The plight of missing British journalist Michael Dixon, who has not been seen or heard of for over a year since going missing in Costa Rica, has the backing of London MEP Syed Kamall who is calling for immediate action by the Costa Rican government.
Meeting representatives of the Dixon family in the European Parliament in Brussels, Syed Kamall MEP for London has endorsed the campaign to help find the whereabouts of Michael Dixon in a statement issued to the London Daily News:
"I hope that the Costa Rican government will co-operate with the family of Michael Dixon to try and find some answers. It has been a year since the last sighting of Michael, we must not let time go by and allow people to forget Michael."

Michael Dixon aurait eu 34 ans lundi 19 juillet. Pour ses parents, Lynn et Hubert Dixon, installés du côté de Marlioz en Haute-Savoie, cette disparition est incompréhensible. “Notre fils aimait voyager seul. Il avait déjà séjourné en Thaïlande et au Mexique. Il se rendait pour la première fois au Costa Rica. Un garçon sérieux, sans problème, consciencieux”, explique sa maman

A London singer has recorded an emotional song to raise money for a journalist who went missing in Costa Rica on holiday. Michael Dixon vanished without a trace in October 2009 and his brother David Dixon, from Croydon, has been searching for him ever since.
